Denver Beer Festivus

The Denver Beer Festivus is a Beer Festival for the Rest of Us! This festival showcases Denver (only) breweries and is just in time for the holiday season. Last year, the highlights of the festival were beer cupcakes (yum!!), discovering Mexican Chocolate Stout from Copper Kettle, the amazing Gingerbread Stout from Wynkoop, and the ultimate dance party!

Denver hosts many beer festivals and they continue to increase as the number of breweries increase but I have to say that this was one of my favorite festivals last year! It is in a great location, full of tasty local beers, and our hearts were won with beer cupcakes and a great DJ.

The second annual Denver Beer Festivus, presented by Denver Off The Wagon and Imbibe Denver, will take place on Dec. 14 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the McNichols Building.

“A few years ago we only had seven breweries, by the end of this year we should have 32,” said PJ Hoberman, founder of Denver Off The Wagon. “Denver is continuing to produce award-winning craft beer and Festivus is a great way to highlight the beer of our city.”

Last year’s festival featured 19 breweries and this year’s Festivus will feature at least 24. General admission tickets are sold out!! Purchase tickets online (there are only Feat of Strength tickets left) and get ready for the ultimate holiday fun! For a preview of the festivities, check out the video from last year.

    • It was a s’mores cupcake made with a graham cracker porter. That is a graham cracker topping with probably some type of marshmallow frosting- I had it a year ago so it has been a while 🙂 I hope they have more this year!
