It’s Friday, so grab your favorite six-pack on the way home from work or enjoy a new beer. Bombers are 22 fl oz bottles of beer that often contain a brewery’s elite or unique concoction. Stone Brewing Company started making Enjoy By IPAs back in September which are bombers that- obvious by name- are suppose to be drunk by a specified date. The Enjoy By IPAs are made with a huge fresh hop character and are brewed to not last. Stone Brewing has taken large measures to ensure the beer is bottled, transported, on the shelves, and in the hands of consumers in a short amount of time.
This beer is a double IPA that has 9.4% ABV. Upon bottle cap release, there is a strong hop aroma- it is as if you are smelling a hop flower itself. Due to the fresh hops it has a very large floral taste. This Stone beer is an Enjoy By 08.02.13 IPA. It was bottled on 06.28.13 which gives it only 5 weeks to be available and drinkable. Part of the message Stone is trying to get across is “that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.”

I’ve trying to get my hands on one of these bottles! How did it compare to Stone’s standard IPA?
Well I love Stone’s regular IPA- that one is more of an easier drinking IPA that I would have anytime. This IPA is super floral and not something I could just drink a lot of or too much but I guess that depends on if you love the super hop floral taste.
